Search Tips
To make your search more efficient, use the tips below to refine your search or to find more specific results.
  • Look for a product by name. Example - Electronic Assembly.
    The best way to find a product is to simply do a keyword search using the first few letters of the product name. Type - Electronic. Your results will show any item that has a word containing "electronic". Your results will show not only "Electronic Assembly", but also "Electronic Components".


  • Look for a product by Manufacturer. Example - IPC.
    In the Published By... select pulldown menu, choose the name - IPC. If you select nothing else and click the search button, you will get a list of all IPC products. To narrow this search you can use the Category pulldown to choose what type of product you are looking for even if you don't know the exact product name. For example, if you want to find hand soldering training items published by IPC, choose IPC from the Published By... pulldown and then select Hand Soldering from the In The Category pulldown menu and click the search button. Your results will show all hand soldering products published by IPC.


  • Look for a product by Manufacturer Number. Example - IPC-A-610C.
    Use the Mfg Part Number input to type in the Manufacturer Part Number. If you only know part of the number you may type in the part of the number you know followed by an "*". Example - IPC-A-610*. See the top example above for more information about this search method.


Too Many Search Results
If you have too many results:
  • Use more search keywords.
  • Use specific keywords.
  • Use the category and manufacturer pull downs.
  • Browse the categories instead of searching.

Too Few Search Results
If you have too few results:
  • Make sure to use the correct spelling.
  • Use fewer search keywords.
  • Use shorter search words and split words.
  • Browse the categories instead of searching.
